If you don’t know what you’re doing tomorrow night … well, now you do. Come out to Carrigan’s for the Localist Bham Birthday Bash: It’s a free party with free music with a raffle where you can win presents. I think that’s called a win-win-win.
Morgan and I have been hitting all our friends up for donations so we can give you presents at our birthday party, and they’re coming through in a big way — so big that we might have a riot on our hands from people trying to stockpile raffle tickets.
Riots are bad for business (and bad for birthdays), so we’re giving you a way to win more tickets — there’s no need to beat up your fellow partygoers. You get one ticket just for showing up, but if you want to earn more, check out the list below. (If you do anything on the list, be sure to grab a picture for Instagram or Twitter so you can prove it at the party, because that’s the only way to get credit!)
Scavenger Hunt Raffle-ganza
- Stop by Kim Cross’s book launch event at Bottle & Bone Wednesday night (before our party): 3 tickets
- Give money to War Jacket’s Indiegogo: 5 tickets
- Instagram or tweet about one of our vendors (anybody from the list below, plus Carrigan’s or War Jacket) and hashtag it #localistbham (do this as many times as you want — you get one ticket per vendor — you can also post about the #localistbook, if you want to).
And what, exactly, are you working toward? We’ll draw raffle tickets for all these prizes (and the list is still growing!).
