We’ve read the book, and now we’re ready for the October 11 movie release of this Great Expectations remake. There’s a lot to live up to with this one, but we think the casting of Helena Bonham Carter as Miss Havisham is a good sign. When a book morphs into a movie, we pay attention. Will the characters live up to our imaginations? Will everything be just as we imagined it? Probably not, but that’s not the point. The fun of seeing our favorite stories light up the silver screen is experiencing them in a different way that, hopefully, reminds us of why we loved them in the first place.
