We’ve said it before, and we’ll say it again: Here at Church Street, we love books and coffee, but we also love music and dancing … well, Cal loves dancing, anyway. So we’re excited for tomorrow night (Tuesday, August 19) when we’ll get to celebrate all these things as we host Carla Jean Whitley, author of Muscle Shoals Sound Studio. In true Church Street style, we’re making it into a party: We’ll have free whiskey sours, live music, and Cal is going to interview Carla Jean. And just to mix it up a little bit more, he’s going to dress up like one Muscle Shoals artist. Who will it be? I’m not sure yet, but I did see Cal digging through a bag of wigs earlier today, and he’s been practicing his dance moves, so I have no doubt it’ll be interesting, to say the least.
