Creatives Need Contracts: Negotiation and Fine Print with Attorney and Influencer Kameron Monet

Kameron Monet Buckner is back on The Localist this week not only as an attorney, but also as a full time influencer! Shortly after Kameron’s first episode, she took the leap to pursue being an influencer and full time content creator. Kameron describes what led her to that leap of faith, the lessons she’s learned the hard way, and how she dealt with the fears that could have held her back. Kameron and Carrie then dive into negotiating with brands and the value in honing in on your target audience. Contracts can be overwhelming for a lay person, but Kameron details what to look out for (don’t do business in the DMs!), and lists the components even the simplest contract should include. Kameron and Carrie wrap up with setting boundaries for yourself to avoid burnout, Kameron’s viral reels, and the importance of having a support group you can relate to.
