How do I get better customer support?

In this episode, Russell Marbut, a Developer at Infomedia, shares troubleshooting tips that can help you diagnose common website errors in order to get better support from your web company. Russell discusses the first steps to take before contacting your web support company: clearing your cookies, clearing your cache, doing hard refreshing your browser, and checking to see whether your website is down for just you or for everyone.

He also iterates the importance of being precise when reporting a problem. For example, if you plan to send a screenshot of an error you encounter on your site, also include a URL of what page the error is on and explain what you were doing when you experienced the error. Including as many details as possible in your request will allow the support team to solve your problems more efficiently.
