Alabama Voters: Today’s the Last Day to Register!

Today’s the last day to register to vote in Alabama in order to make it in time to vote in the 2016 Presidential race. All morning, I’ve been trying to write a heartfelt plea about why I think it’s important to vote, but it turns out heartfelt pleas can come off as pretty preachy, so I figured I’ll skip it. I do think it’s important to vote, in this race in particular, but you probably already know the reasons. What you may not know is how to actually go about it — this year, you can actually register to vote online,* so in the time it would’ve taken to get read that heartfelt plea I trashed, you can probably already be registered. Everybody wins! Well, everybody does not win. That’s the whole purpose of voting. But you and I are winners, and for today at least, that’s what counts.

Get an Absentee Ballot for Alabama

Absentee ballots have a whole different set of rules, but it seems like you’ll still have time to mail it in if you’ll be out of town, working the whole day, or otherwise indisposed November 8. Click here to see the results of my epic Googling about absentee voting.

* You can register online. You can’t vote online. I’m too tired to fix my modifiers this morning.
